On 02 June 2009 Mr.Jira  Phongphaiboon, Hua Hin Mayor, presided over the  Flu A H1N1 preventive meeting at Naresdmri auditorium hall. In attendance at the meeting were Deputy Municipal Clerk, Mr. Athikhun Bootying, Deputy Mayor, teachers, hoteliers and flu expert Khun Wilaiwan Pandit. In total 120 persons have attended the meeting. 

The worldwide spread of Flu A H1N1 has been publicized in the press. This strain of flu has originated from the combination of bird flu and swine flu according to scientists. Now it has been confirmed that this new flu can be spread from human to human.  At the moment, World Health Organization (WTO) has declared the red alert level for all international public health organization worldwide including Thailand too.    

Hua Hin Municipality has good understanding how the flu A H1N1 spreads and has decided inform all the necessary administrative and business sections how to prevent spread of this flu. It is important that all necessary steps are taken as Hua Hin is famous tourist destination and a lot of tourists from all over the world come here for holidays.
