On 19th of November 2010 Thailiving Ferry launched a new high speed Catamaran that will Thailand's most popular tourist cities, Pattaya and Hua Hin.
Ferry service began on the 19th of November 2010. Thailiving Ferry will operate a regular schedule of three crossings per week.
Many tourists visiting Thailand first tour Bangkok and then go south to visit other areas of Thailand. Until now journey from Pattaya to Hua Hin could take up to 6 hours by car. The high speed ferry crossing will cut travel time between Hua Hin and Pattaya to 3hours 15 minutes.
The Ferry operate a regular schedule of three crossings per week: Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Departure from Pattaya's Ocean Marina is at 08:30 and from Pak Nam Pran pier (see map) in Pranburi is at 13:30.
Customers get transportation to and from the piers with minibuses collecting and dropping of at central points in the cities. The one way trip fare will be 1600 Baht and for return 3000 Baht. In November and December there will be promotions from 1200 Baht.
The high speed catamaran is 18m long, has 2x360hp engines and is cruising at 20knots. The Catamaran is built to international rules and regulations and makes use of the latest in navigation and safety equipment. Personal safety equipment as life vests and life rafts are available to all passengers.
