Saturday of May 17, 2008, 10.00 am – 02.00 am., Honda has just held “Honda Summer Festival @ Hua Hin” organized by Mr. Phithak Phrukthisarikhon, Managing Director at Honda Automobile Thailand Co., Ltd., Mr. Winit Lertrattanachai, the Managing Director has introduced the New Honda Jazz and kick off the first ever musical festival with the theme of Bossanove, Reggae, Ska, and Dance in Thailand. More than 100 both Thai and leading foreign DJs and musical guests, along with more 20 bands from all over the world were present.

The event took place at Takiab Beach, 6 km. from the heart of Hua Hin, with a lot of music fans from Bangkok and local provinces. Most of them were teenagers having a lot of fun on the beach. All Hua Hin hotels were also fully booked and those who had not reserved a room have slept on the beach listening to the music until 2 pm. 

Mr. Winit Lertrattanachai said that there were a lot of teenagers unexpectedly from Bangkok enjoying themselves and dancing on the beach. Some of them came from different provinces. Luckily, there were not any emergency cases at the festival. Mr. Phithak Phrukthisarikhon, Managing Director at Honda Automobile Thailand said that this was the first time music festival took place the Takiab Beach, and the company will annually hold this festival then. This year festival was so successful. During the festival Honda has displayed Honda Jazz cars to the public. Honda Jazz could grab the attention of teenagers and many of them have decided to reserve cars during the festival. 

The teenagers said that when they have learned that Honda will held festival on Takiab Beach, they persuaded their friends, parents and families to join the event. The festival has been a great success all participants were very happy. 

Pol.Lt.Col. Withat Borirak, the Deputy Superintendent, said that Pol.Col. Kasana Jaemsawang, the Hua Hin Superintendent, had ordered him to look after traffic police officers under the control of Pol.Lt.Col. Samer Yusamran, the Traffic Inspector. Pol.Lt.Col. Withat also added that before the day of the festival, there were a lot of private cars moving into Takiab Village, so Traffic Police officers had to divert motorists to park their cars at Nongkae Village and walk about 2 km to Takiab Village because all vehicles were not able to reach the festival’s area. After the festival around 2 am., it appeared that not even one car or motorbike was stolen during this event. So we have to give a big thank to all police officers from Hua Hin Police Station, who were watching vehicles while everybody else took part in the festival.
