On Saturday 29th March 2008 Hua Hin Municipal Office has organized Sport Day for 35 communities. The sport parade has started at 07.30am at Pone King Phet Public Park and went via Phetchkasem Road, Chomsin Road, and Nongplub Road to Hua Hin School. In the joyful parade, there were cheering teams dressed colourfuly. The sports parade was almost 2,000 meters long. So far this was the longest sports parade in Hua Hin.
The car traffic was flowing smoothly thanks to work of Hua Hin Police Station Superintendent Pol.Col. Kasana Jaemsawang, Traffic Inspector Pol. Lt. Col. Samoer Yusamran and Traffic Policemen.
Hua Hin Vice Mayor Mr. Nopporn Wutthikul said that the main purpose of the Sports Day was to enable the people to express their unity, sport spirit and manifest the importance of sports. Each community had selected the best athletes to compete in sports such as pentathlon, flag race, tag-of-war, volleyball, football and many more. Even those villagers who hardly have time to for sports in their busy life were taking part in the sport competitions.
Hua Hin Mayor Mr.Siraphan Kamolpramote has presided over the Hua Hin Sports Day. He has expressed his delight that so many members of all communities were participating in the Sports day. After having thanked sport participants and judges the Mayor had officially opened the Sport Day.
The sport grandstands were filled with sport spectators. They were cheering up, singing and dancing for their favorite teams. Finally, the Hua Hin Sports Day was finally over at 18.00. Everyone had great fun.
