The concert was held on Sunday, 6 December 2009 in the public park on top of Hin Lek Fai Hill. The carbon dioxide emissions generated during this event was offset by a carbon credit donation from an international carbon asset management firm. The event began with a pre-concert acoustic performance at 5.00 p.m. followed by Cheepchanok Sriyamatra at 6.30 p.m. The evening has continued with music by local bands and the 60s rock-n-rollers Tang Kay Rumble Band and by the pop-rock band Black Head. Tickets 1,000 baht with T-shirt and food / restaurant with 500 baht. The 6th Annual “I Love Hua Hin” Concert has been organized as a Carbon Neutral, Climate Positive event to raise awareness in the fight against global warming, climate change and environmental degradation. With the theme of “Reduce Waste, Reduce Global Warming”, the Preserve Hua Hin Group together with the Hua Hin municipality have organized the event in honor of the 82st Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the King.
