On Thursday 8 November 2007 Hua Hin Lord Mayor Khun Sirapan; Kamolpramoth and Vice Mayor Khun Witul Loh-siriluk have invited all the government official, representatives of 35 communities and mass media to a meeting regarding preparation for HM the King 80th Birthday Anniversary which is on the 5th December 2007.
Governor of Prachuab Khiri Khan Khun Prasit Boonlikit said that this year HM the King Birthday Anniversary is very important and everyone should participate in organization of the anniversary celebrations.
Khun Sirapan Kamolpramoth has proposed programm HM the King Birthday Anniversary. The anniversary celebrations (ธันวามหาราช Har-Thanwa-Maharach) will begin 4th December 2007 at the Queen's Park with children shows, movies and the burlesque theatrical performance. On the 5th December 2007 in the morning at 06.45 Hua Hin residents will make a merit and will offer dry foods to the monks next to the high tower clock on Naeb-Keharh Road.
At 10.00 am government official, officers, teachers, student and Hua Hin resident will come to Queen's Park and will offer blessing to His Majesty the King. Then Chief District Officer will speak about life of HM the King. This will be followed by Thai anthem and after which the leader of the celebrations will lit a candle in a glass cabinet and will lit candles of community representatives and government officials. Then all present will sing a song to show esteem to the King. This will be followed fireworks. Once firework display is finished Hua Hin students will perform on the stage. This will be followed by movie about King Nares.
