On Thursday 05 February 2009 in the afernoon at Hua Hin Minicipality Vice Governor Khun Bongkarn Limpapan has presided at the meeting during which preparation to Asean summit were discussed. In attendance were members of parliament, deputy governor, chief of each government division, police officers, chief district officer, representatives TAT and local community, in total about 200 persons.
Vice Governor Khun Bongkarn Limpapan spoke about preparation to the Asean summit which will take during 27 February - 01 March 2009 at the Dusit Hotel. In the Asean summit will participate nine asian countries. All delegates will be welcomed at Hua Hin Airport.
Vice Governor said that Hua Hin must be prepared for this occasion. Hua Hin center needs to be cleaned, posters will be hang on both sides of the main road, parking areas will become available for the Asean guests. The government officials need to be on hand to take care of VIP guests. Traffic police will control flow of cars. There might be some travel restrictions within Hua Hin.
Vice Governor Khun Bongkarn Limpapan said that Hua Hin Mayor and Vice Mayors have worked hard to ensure that everything goes according to plan during the Asean summit. They had meeting with hotel representatives and have agreed with them improvement plan. Police Major General Roongroch Saenkraem, Chief Police Commander of the Province was confident that he can ensure safety of all the delegates at the Asean summit.
