According to the 15th Asean Summit & Dialogue partner countries, the Government is responsible for both land and sea security (by RTN region 1) during the Asean Summit. All concerned departments are required to facilitate the 15th Asean Summit as much as possible.  The coming Asean Summit is regarded as a tool in promoting Thailand on international stage, this will be beneficial to local community as well.

Capt. Supphasit Burana-Osot said that RTN region 1 is responsible for marine security in the restricted area along Hua Hin coast. Number of patrol boats will guard 7 nautical miles away from the coastline. The second restricted area is 4 nautical miles away from the coast, and inner restricted area is 3 nautical miles away from the coastline which is the most important area with full security.  All boats are not allowed to enter into the marine restricted area without official permission.  Fishery boats will be temporarily categorized into 2 types; Thai and foreign.  Thai fishing boats will identify themselves with registered stickers. Boats without registered stickers will be searched and taken to Navy Phirom Temporary Administration Center.  Unregistered entrepreneurs are able to enroll at the center.
