Mr. Taweephong Wichaidit, director of Community Based Tourism Office, said that DASTA has been assigned by the Cabinet on Feb. 2 2010 for developing natural tourism attractions in Hua Hin – Cha am, Hua Hin – Pranburi or maybe Phetchaburi – Prachuap Khirikhan and their connecting areas as well. However there will be a public review to sound out how local people think about this, may be taking place at the beginning of August 2010. Mr. Jira, Hua Hin Mayor, mentioned the great opportunity that DASTA has come into the local area for development, in the past the municipality had to experience multi-procedures in budget, but now DASTA is taking responsibility instead of local organization, without multi-procedures anymore. He also said main projects to be assisted by DASTA were waste water treatment, waterworks system and environmental issues; garbage pollution for instance. Besides press conference, there were also other interesting activities, after that all attendants were holding hands for taking photos to show good coordination between DASTA and Hua Hin City Municipality in developing Tourism Enterprise Network in Hua Hin and its connecting areas. In the afternoon all attending presses were being taken to should-develop tourism spot at Khaotao, introduced by Khaotao Local Weaving Center and Siridhorn National Park officers.
