On 15 July 2009 in the morning at Rak Sunak Hua Hin (Love Dogs Center), Hua Hin Deputy Mayor Mr. Athikhun Bootying has presided over the opening of free birth control for cats & dogs 2009 project. At the opening ceremony were present Hua Hin municipal councilors, vets from other veterinary centers and Mr. Weeraphong Buarapha, district livestock officer for monitoring of birth control operations for pets.
This project is held regularly every 3 months for pets free of charge. The main objective of this project is to control cats and dogs population in the local area and to prevent people and tourists from being bitten and hydrophobia.
Hua Hin Deputy Mayor Mr. Athikhun Bootying has invited people who have cats and dogs in Hua Hin to join this project without need to pay for operations. This project was held at Love Dogs Center’s compound, near Ithisukkhato Temple during 15 – 17 July 2009 from 09.00 – 16.00.
