The Pa-La-U Waterfall is part of the Kaeng Krachan National Park. It is located about 60 km. west of Hua-Hin near the Burmese border. The Pa-La-U Waterfall with its 16 steps, is one of the biggest waterfalls in Thailand the surrounding forest is over a thousand years old and is filled with rare wild animals.
Near the Pa-La-U Waterfall is a village called "Kareng" settled around 200 years ago by people of Burmese origin. Today the villagers continue a lifestyle immersed in ancient tradition, also these people have their own language. Our trip starts in the morning, first we will enjoy an exciting elephant ride through the jungle at the Elephant camp. Then we drive west through pineapple plantations towards the mountains, near the Burmese border. Then, off we go to the La U waterfalls, where we will be trekking our way up to the 3rd level. There is gorgeous natural pool with wild crap fish. You will enjoy the beautiful waterfall and jungle surroundings, where wild monkeys and birds can be heard and sometimes spotted.
After the waterfalls, we'll go paddling the Pranburi River on canoes to the "Kareng" Hill Tribe Village, where we can witness the simple life of these people. They will happily perform for us, a local dance. This will conclude a very filled up day in the jungle.Time to get back to your Hotel.
