Hua Hin Municipality with Hua Hin Bicycle Club, Wang Klai Kangwon Bicycle Club, and Sport Emporium Co., Ltd. are organizing a bicycle competition, "Tour of Hua Hin 2006", on the occasion of the celebration of Her Majesty the Queen's birthday, on 12 August, which is also Thai national Mother's Day. The competition will be held on Sunday, 20 August 2006.

The competition will be held on Sunday, 20 August 2006 and will start from Pone Kingphet Public Garden. The competition is divided into five categories which are:

1. Male, aged under 18 years old, 120km.
2. Female, aged under 18 years old, 80km.
3. Male and female, 140km.
4. Male and female, aged more than 30 years old, 120km.
5. Male and female, aged more than 50 years old, 120km.

The competition for every category will start from Pone Kingphet Public Garden and head toward Petchkasem Road to Pranburi direction. At the traffic light of Cha-Am - Pranburi Bypass, turn right toward Cha-Am. Turn left at Hua Hin - Pa La-U Waterfalls route intersection and cycle towards Pa La-U Waterfalls. After reaching the entrance office of Pa La-U Waterfalls all participants are to return to the finish line at Hua Hin Municipality School

The winners of five categories will receive trophies from Her Majesty the Queen and cash. First and second runner-ups will receive trophies and cash. Third and fourth runner-ups will receive trophies. There will be a special prize for three females, aged under 18 years old, who are first to finish. They will receive scholarships. Every participant will also receive souvenirs from the competition.

Hua Hin Municipality would like to invite interested people to join "Tour of Hua Hin 2006" bicycle competition. The fee is Baht 300 for all categories. Interested applicants are required to show their ID cards upon application.
