Hua Hin International Kite Festival
(an annual event in March).
With each subsequent year, the Hua Hin International Kite Festival attracts an ever-growing number of devoted kite fans, participants and spectators, from all over Thailand as well as from countries around the region, and beyond. The colourful kite festival thus presents a golden opportunity for visitors to savour the international flavour of kite culture in a single trip. This year, the festival will was held at Rama IV Camp during 11-15 March 2006.

- Displays and demonstrations of Thai kites from the 4 regions and demonstrations of Chula and Pakpao kites.
- An international showcase of kites from Canada, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Newzealand, Australia, Indonesia, China, Malaysia, Taiwan, India, Sweden, Korea and Singapore, featuring exhibits, demonstrations and displays.

- Staged 'kite-fighting' battles featuring the larger star-shaped Chula kite and the smaller diamond-shaped Pakpao kite
