Criket Hua Hin Sixes

The 11th Hua Hin Cricket Sixes takes place April 10-14 and promises to be another entertaining feast of lively action that makes Sixes cricket so appealing. The tournament will be played as usual on the picturesque grounds of the Dusit Hotel and Resort.

As in previous years, the tournament will feature a Cup competition for the fit players and a more leisurely Masters section.

At least 13 teams will be taking part with sides from Australia, Hong Kong and Thailand.

Former Australian Test all-rounder Colin Miller will also be returning to the ground where has he put in a number of memorable performances with bat and ball.

There will be a strong Melbourne influence with the MCC being represented by three teams, two of whom will play in the Cup. Also from Melbourne will be regular Hua Hin visitors, Cluden and Canterbury.

Another Australian side, the Phoong (Fat Belly) Follies, will be led by former Bangkok resident Brett Farmer and plan to make a strong challenge in the Cup.

Hua Hin has a strong representation this year with three teams which should ensure a lot of local support.

Among the stronger Thai sides are expected to be Thai Thevada and Thailand Under 19s led by respected coach Kader, both of whom will play in the Cup.

Another useful local side are the Thai Masters.

The tournament is sponsored by SCB Securities, UOB - Asset management, Mitr Phol Sugar, Dusit Hotel and Resort and the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
