Located on Wisuthasat Road, Wat Indrawihan is well known for its enormous standing Buddha figure, called 'Phra Sri Ariyamettrai' or "Luang Pho To". The statue of Buddha is 32m high. The Monument was build in 1867, but it took 100 years to finish it. Today it contains a relic of Lord Buddha brought from Sri Lanka. The temple exists since the founding days of Bangkok and was renovated several times. It holds an annual festival celebrating the completion of the statue from March 4-6.
Open daily from 8:30am to 8pm and admission is free.
