On Thursday 7 February 2008 the Provincial Election Secretary Khun Warotai Naewbantad has arranged a meeting in order to select Election Committee members for re-election in Prachuapkhirikhan Province. The aim of the Election Committee is to establish set of voting rules for re-election and to monitor the re-election in the province.
As the Governor and Vice Governor were absent during the meeting, Khun Warotai Naewbantad has asked Khun Tuck Dechapanya to chair the meeting.
The leader of the working group Khun Prapart has presented list of applicants for the Election Committee. The applicants come from Prachuapkhirikhan districts: Bueng Nakorn Village of Hua Hin, Salalai Village of Pranburi District, and Kui-Buri District. To the list of applicants were added names of four Managing Directors of provincial election group. During the meeting secret voting took place and persons for the Election Committee were selected.
Khun Prapart Chatmonkol has informed that the re-election will take place on the 2nd of March 2008. Before the re-election day members of the parliament and staff of the Election Department will visit 8 districts and meet resident in order to explain to them the rules of the re-election. Khun Warotai Naewbantad said that the voting rules for re-election will be advertised in the local radio, newspapers and on websites.
