The train is a classic method to get to Hua Hin from Bangkok Railway Station in central Bangkok. It's a great way to travel if you don't mind a slow pace and many stops. It will take you four to five hours but on the plus side, the train ticket is cheaper, only Bt44 for ordinary train to around Bt200 for the 1st class, it's more fun and you'll get to taste a bit of culture too.

There is an underground train connecting you to the Bangkok Railway Station, but if you have lots of luggage, you may still have to take a taxi to the station in Bangkok. And once you get to Hua Hin, you need a taxi to your hotel or arrange for a hotel pickup. Trains leave Bangkok's Hua Lamphong and Bang Sue railway stations 10 times daily between 7.45am to 10.50pm.
