During the event, from 10:00am until 12:00 there was lion and dragon procession parading on Phetkasem Road and around the center of Hua Hin. Participants have visited each shop in the shopping center and have wished luck for the new year all the owners. There was a lot of fun. The Chinese New Year opening ceremony was being officially performed at 18.30 by Mr. Jira Phongphaiboon, Hua Hin Mayor, with Mr. Yanyong Kasemweerasan. They have lit Chinese firecrackers as a symbol of welcoming Chinese New Year. Many Hua Hin residents, Thai and foreign tourists have watched exciting performances such as Dok Moei Jumping and Dragon Performance.

On 13 February 2010 Hua Hin Market Village has celebrated Chinese New Year 2010 with Lion and Dragon acrobatics, the greatest Chinese performance in the south of Thailand, performed by Mangkorn Thong Look Hengjear Group with light and sound, in front of Hua Hin Market Village Shopping Center.
