At the opening ceremony, the famous local jazz group 'The Hua Hin Music All-starts band' has performed on the stage. This year Hua Hin Jazz Festival held during 13 - 14 June was promoted as part of the Amazing Prachuap Khirikhan Year in order to increase tourist arrival to the province. Hua Hin Jazz Festival on the Beach has been highlighted as a significant event for Hua Hin. This year event brought a significant number of tourists during the low season Mr Sermkhun Khunawong CEO of CM Organizers Plc said that Hua Hin Jazz Festival is strongly supported by Prachuap Khirikhan Governor. This year event has become even larger than previous years. This year 70000 Thai and foreign visitors have attended the event. Highlight of this year Hua Hin Jazz Festival was the performance of world famous musicians like Kenny Garret Quartet, Mike Stern's Band featuring Dave Weckl and Chris Minh Doky. This year event was a true celebration of jazz in a beautiful beach atmosphere where you could enjoy great cuisine and refreshments available at different stands along the beach.

On Friday 13 June 2008 at 6 pm Mr Chousak Sirinil Minister Attached to the Prime Minister's Office, has opened Hua Hin Jazz Festival 2008. The Governor of Prachuap Khirikhan Mr. Parnchai Borwornratanapran has reminded the history of the Jazz Festival and said that he was very pleased with this year organization of the festival thanks to True Music, this year sponsors of the Hua Hin Jazz Festival.
