Every year all the fishermen who live in Hua Hin make a merit for all the aquatic animals they catch from the sea. The fishermen believe that it is a sin to catch so many aquatic animals. The Fishing Village Club Committee members have build models of boats which were used during their procession in Hua Hin. They were selling dolls to Hua Hin's residents, which later on are placed on the boat and send to the sea. The fishermen attach firecrackers to the boat for a fireworks display when the boat sails in the gulf and eventually sinks with the dolls. Khun Siriwut Pongpaibull said that 800,000 baht collected during this year Joss-house celebration will be donated to Wat Pra Buddhabath temple and will help the Abbot of this temple take care of many aids patients.
