This year Hua Hin Jazz Festival 2008 will be organized as part of Amazing Prachuapkhirikhan 2008 tourism campaign. Hua Hin Jazz Festival is an annual event and takes place during 13 - 15 June 2008. Vice Governor Mr. Phisit Sunthrirat said to the press that over the previous years, there were approximately 20,000 – 30,000 of the Thais visiting Hua Hin and participating in Hua Hin Jazz Festival on the beach. This year it is estimated that there will be audience of over 70,000 people. The Province had made inquiries with hotels in Cha Am, Hua Hin and Pranburi regarding accommodation information and found that all hotels including other guesthouses have been fully reserved already. Provincial Deputy Commander Pol. Col. Kittisak Phukhatiyawong spoke about security preparation for this year Hua Hin Jazz Festival. Together with Pol. Lt. Col. Withat Borirak have explained to the press that the police officers are well prepared for this event. Police will provide security to tourists and to their property. Parking areas will be well looked after. A lesson has been learned from previous Hua Hin Jazz Festivals. After the press conference, the local jazz band composed of the Thais and foreigners residing in Hua Hin performed songs composed by HM. the King Bhumibol to end the press conference in style.

Withat Borirak, Hua Hin District Chief Officer Mr. Prasit Boonlikit and local press.
