The Interior Ministry has requested that list of candidates for election is finalized by 11 April 2008 and the election for Hua Hin Mayor and to Hua Hin Assembly will take place on 11 May 2008.

On Wednesday 19 March 2008 the Permanent Secretary of Municipality Miss Srisuda Ratri has arranged meeting at Hua Hin Municipality to elect a president of election committee. Four members of the election committees were elected by provincial selection panel. Election Committee will supervise the forthcoming election for Hua Hin Mayor and for members of Hua Hin Assembly as their term will finish in May.
During the meeting President of the Election Committee was elected by vote (called Kor Kor Tor). There were four candidates: Mr. Anu Theeranuwat, Mr. Thaweesak Dechapanya, Mr Theerawut Faiboot and Mrs Uwanit Sornsilp. As a result of the vote Mr. Anu Theeranuwat was elected the President of the Election Committee.
