After official opening by the Governor, Provincial Public Work Officer Mr. Phichet Panaphan has updated all present that several meetings regarding Hua Hin Planning Law previously. They were attended by government and private sectors to review Hua Hin Planning Law. All parts of the existing planning law were considered in detail by the working committees made up of government and private. During the last meeting the revised version of the Hua Hin Planning Law was presented to all interested parties attending the meeting. At that meeting it was decided that the revised planning law should be sent for consultation with Hua Hin residents before the revised version is passed into Municipal Laws. Mr. Phichet Panaphan said that it was a time consuming work to make the planning law revision. At times experienced academics were required to give an advice on various aspects of the planning law. At the moment, all pending work was assigned for the committees during the 5th meeting. He also stated that revised planning law would govern the whole Hua Hin Municipality area which has 96 sq.km. Any building works without proper consideration what impact it might have on the nature, would destroy directly the environment. Thus, the Province, Municipality and District together with academics must considerate environmental issues make them an integral part of the new Hua Hin Planning Law.
