On Monday 2 July 2007, Vice Chief Navy Commander Admiral Wichai Yuwanangkulr ,Rear Admiral Apiwat Sriwathana, Mr.Chairerst Manulpol and Mrs. Supatra Jiratiwat gave press conference in the Colonial Hall at the Hua Hin Sofitel Hotel. Vice Chief Admiral has announced that Hua Hin Regatta 2007 there will be held on 1-5 August 2007.
The Hua Hin Regatta 2007 is specially organized as part of the people of Thailand celebrations on the Auspicious Occasion of the 80th Birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
The Hua Hin Regatta 2007 will be held at the Hua Hin Naval Yacht Club, in the vicinity of Klai Kangwon Roayl Summer Palace. The Organizing Authority is the Yacht Racing Association of Thailand (YRAT), in conjunction with the Royal Thai Navy (RNT), TAT and the District Authority of Hua Hin. This Organizing Authority shall appoint an Organizing Committee and a Race Committee. The Regatta will be governed by the International Sailing Federation (ISAF)'s Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) for 2005-2008, the Class Rules applicable to each class, this Notice of Race (NOR) and the Sailing Instructions (SI) which shall be distributed to the competitors later. The Regatta is classified as a category C event. The Organizing Committee may require competing boats to display event sponsor advetising on the hull. Thailand Open Championship Races: Entries are open to all members of clubs affiliated to YRAT, individual members of YRAT and members of Clubs / MNA as invited.
