On arrival at the Kingdom Hall in Hua Hin each delegate received a colourful bi-lingual welcome card, a spray of orchids and a local pocket guide. The program, which was presented in Thai and English, attracted a warm round of applause of appreciation at the end of 2 hours of Christian meeting. The delegates, most of them visiting Thailand for the first time, were all happy to get the new experience from visiting Thailand and Hua Hin. The Kingdom Hall in Hua Hin was built with funds supplied by the International Building Fund of Jehovah's Witnesses which financially assists the building of modern Kingdom Halls in less affluent countries. It was built with attendances of upward of 200 in mind, in view of the vast expansion Jehovah's Witnesses are experiencing worldwide. Over 7 million Witnesses are now active in 247 lands throughout the world. English groups of Jehovah's Witnesses, similar to the one in Hua Hin, feature throughout Thailand - including Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Rayong and Phuket. There are now nearly 3,000 Jehovah's Witnesses in Thailand. For more information, please contact Sakda Darawan M.B. 08-1837-2507.
