The construction of plastic recycling plant is almost finished. At the moment necessary machinery and technology imported from Poland is installed. It is the 3rd recycling plant of this type in Thailand. It will be able to transform plastic into oil. The plant is 90% finished and testing will start shortly. The plant needs for a start 6 tons of plastic material. Mr. Jira Phngphaiboon, Hua Hin Mayor has focused on sustainable community development which contains policies for waste management and recycling. Hua Hin’s residents take active role in recycling. Plastic is collected, segregated and sent to plant where it will be transformed into oil. Policies and campaigns promote and support local participation in managing and recycling waste for the benefit of local community and sustainable environment.
