The 44th Prachinburi Agricultural Fair

Prachinburi Agricultural Fair Prachinburi is regarded as one of the most fertile provinces and its population earn their living from agriculture selling vegetables, flowers, durian, mangosteen, santol, rambutan, bamboo shoot, and other quality and reasonable priced local products. It makes Prachinburi Province one of agricultural tourist attraction where tourists can admire orchards, plantations, flower and herb gardens.

Mrs. Phannee Kaensuwan, the Prachinburi Provincial Governor said that during May the province will produce a lot of agricultural products such as durians, mangosteens, santols, jackfruits, pomelos, bamboo shoots and many other local products. She hopes that by publicizing the Prachinburi Fair many tourists will make their way to Prachinburi. Prachinburi Province cooperates with the Provincial Agricultural Extention Office and Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Central Region Office 8 to host The 44th Prachin Buri Agricultural Fair during May 22 – June 1, 2008 at The King Rama V monument, Prachinburi Province. During the Prachinburi Fair there will be many activities like;

Buy tropical fruits, various plants and other agricultural products.
Buy local products “one district, one product campaign” and other general products.
Exhibition in agriculture development.
Festive performances.
Quality fruits competition (durians, santols, pomelos, mangosteens, jackfruits and bamboo shoots, on May 23).
Try preserved fruits only 50 baht / a full set (during the fair).
Cycle around to admire orchards and the way farmers way of life.
Relax yourself with traditional Thai massage.

TAT Central Region Office 8 would like to invite interested tourists to select and buy quality products during the fair as well as visit local attractions; Prachinburi National Museum where antiques and histories of the East are gathered, admire the architecture of Chaopraya Apaiphubet building which is said to be the most beautiful hospital building and relex yourself with traditional Thai massage at the traditional Thai medicine center.

Mrs. Athicha Rojanasuwan, the Director of TAT Central Region Office 8 said that from May it will be a rainy tourism season, so the TAT would like to introduce other interesting attractions, especially rafting at the Nakhonnayok stream, where you can do rafting all year long with 1-3 level of water condition, rafting in Kaeng Hin Perng, the transparent and clean water with 3-5 level of water condition, climb down from cliffs of the Khao Yai National Park and Weruwan Waterfall, nature trail for butterfly watching at Sakaeo Province.
