Khun Pralom Kashane after being appointed Chief Judge of the Provincial Court in Prachuapkhirikhan has made a major change to the hearing of lawsuits and criminal cases. He has set up Conciliatory Committees to deal with lawsuits before they are heard in courts. The Conciliatory Committees have managed successfully to reach a compromise in the lawsuits cases and there was no need for the cases go to Court. He has also moved to criminal cases. In many cases parents bail by using their children or using land deed or Nor Sor 3. The court now allows parents of the convicted person pay instalments for the cost of the bail out and the case and they eventually get back land deed or Nor Sor 3. This prevents poor people from going bankrupt.
