Mr. John Burke came to see Khun Tuck Dechapanya who is Conciliator at the Provincial Court and has asked for help with his problem. Mr Burke has explained that he has discussed his case with Khun Somjate Srisuppatpong. Khun Somjate Srisuppatpon and other official came to survey the half finished house. Earlier Mr. Burke has sent e-mail to Khun Tuck. In it he said that since his initial contact a year ago, very little progress has been made on his house. At the same time the developer has started build another house, office within the complex and other outbuildings on the other side of his property. Mr. Burke's house should have been completed according to his contract with the developer by June 2007. The developer has confirmed this to Mr Burke in March 2007. After being assured that the house will be finished, Mr Burke has arranged for his belongings to be shipped from the UK but he had to have them put in storage in Bangkok instead. In the past Mr Burke tried to get some dialogue and communication with the developer but he failed to reply or communicate and obviously was hiding from Mr Burke. He never really got any honest answers from the developer and he feels that the developer was cheating him and is dishonest. Therefore Mr Burke did not have any option but to go to the police station and lodge complaint against the developer. To this date, Mr Burke does not have idea as to whether the developer will finish his house at all. Since Mr Burke has paid the developer 90 % of the building contract sum in February 2007, he feels that the developer has almost abandoned works on his house.
