The main income is from tourist sector which is about 2,000 million baht/year and grew at about 5.8 % per year. Unfortunately the unstable political situation in Thailand has reduced this income by about 20-30 % and the effect of the worldwide economic crisis has reduced income further. The latest forecast estimate that Hua Hin local economy will earn from tourism 30-40 % less in comparison to previous years. This will be some how compensated from Thai tourists who always come to Hua Hin. It is essential that everybody manages their businesses in a very economic way and that they don’t make extravagant purchases. Khun Panchai Kitcharayotin, a president of Chamber of Commerce has explained what has triggered the world crisis and how it might affect Thailand.
