1. Develop and support the Hua Hin District tourism and economy. 2. Develop and support living standard and employment of Hua Hin District residents. 3. Develop and support education. 4. Administer management of natural resources and environment. 5. Develop first class management systems. 6. Develop water system and public utilities. Hua Hin Lord Mayor said that Hua Hin is a worldwide known tourist destination. Each year over one million foreign tourists visit Hua Hin. Demand for water has increased dramatically. Hua Hin does not have its own source of water. Water for Hua Hin is transferred via canal from Pranburi or Kaeng Krachan reservoir. The water level in these two reservoirs depends on rainfall and at time there is limited amount of water which can be transferred to Hua Hin. Protection of environment is very important. There is a need for strict regulation for running Chat-Chai Market and the Hua Hin Night Market in order to prevent pollution. Another thing is waste disposal. Each day 60 tons of garbage is buried in a landfill. This has to be eliminated and no garbage should be buried in a landfill. There is a need to improve education system. With the huge number of tourist visiting Hua Hin there is a need for a high standard of service. Local staff must be able communicate with foreign tourist and therefore there is a need for the introduction of compulsory teaching of Chinese and English in addition to Thai language in all 7 Hua Hin municipal schools. There is a plan to put aside budget for creation of Internet centre in Hua Hin and provide internet free of charge (except business).
