After only three meetings, the Association has more than 300 members and it is a steady flow of new members joining. Hua Hin is definitely a place that many Swedish people have taken to their heart! An estimated 40% of all farangs living – part time or full time – in the Hua Hin area are from Sweden. ![]() At the latest meeting, senior consular officer Pär Kågeby of the Swedish Embassy in Bangkok talked about the consular services of the Embassy. Questions from members were forwarded by the secretary of the Association, Mr Lars Olof Fagerström. The Association’s chairman, Mr Gert Andersson, is surprised but happy about the fantastic response by the Swedes in Hua Hin: The Association holds one meeting per month, usually the last Thursday in the month.
