The meeting was organized by Director of Provincial Revenue Office Khun Nuannoy Sriroongroch. During the meeting Director General of the Revenue Department Khun Taweesri Vikayathipat has presented VAT refund for tourists program for the Asean summit. It is a privilege for Thailand to host the 14th Asean summit and to welcome about 600 officials and members of the press from the nine Asean countries. They will stay four nights in Hua Hin & Cha Am Districts and are expected to spend millions of Baht in the local shops. Every shop will display the VRT logo. On 26th and 27th February Revenue Director Khun Nuannoy Sriroongroch and her staff will be at Sheraton Hotel Dusit Thani Hotel and will provide information on VAT refund to the arriving guests.

On Friday 20 February 2009 in the morning staff from Prachuapkhirikhan's Revenue Office and Director General of Revenue Department met with representatives of local hotels, stores and business at Hin Nam Sai Suay Hotel in Hua Hin. They have discussed VAT refund for tourists during Asean summit which will take place from 27 February until 1 March 2009.
