Due to southern terrorism, a lot of soldiers are performing their duty in the three southern provinces located close to the border with Malaysia. As a result of constant terrorist attacks some of the soldiers are disabled or dead. The WVO takes responsibility all war veterans by providing psychological therapy and physical treatments, artificial arms and legs. In addition housing, financial assistance and occupational fund are provided. For families of the dead soldiers, no matter if they were Non or Commissioned Officers, the WVO assists with funeral expenses, educational fee for their children, living expenses for their wives and their parents. Gen. Chusin said that the annual budget of WVO has been supported by the Central Government via the Ministry of Defense totaling 1,300 million THB. The allocated budget is not sufficient for approximately 2 million war veterans. However, benefits for Thai war veterans are much better than other Asian countries nearby because of their budget limit.

Gen. Chusin Khunathai, the Director of War Veterans Organization of Thailand (WVO), Ministry of Defense, has informed us that together with his team he has visited war veterans from Royal Thai Army, Navy and Air Force at Wing 5, Prachuap Khirikhan province. For this visit, victory flags of Love Nation Club had been passed to war veterans as a symbol of nation’s love. Medical services were on hand to provide medical assistance for war veterans if required.
