White Factories project

On Wednesday 28 January 2009, at Hua Hin Hospital, Provincial Governor has organized meeting of 43 government divisions from 8 districts. In attendance were 3 Vice Governors,, representatives of government enterprises, leadership of provincial  management, Hua Hin Lord Mayor, Chief District Officer, Provincial Chief Police Commander, and Chief Police Commander of Hua Hin Police Station. In total about 300 government officials took part in the meeting.

Director of Welfare and Social Division Khun Ittiporn Laovanich spoke about White Factories project which aim is to prevent drug taking in the workplace.  He gave advice how management should make their factories drugs free and how to encourage their employees to take part in the project. In 2008 1669 employees at 24 factories took in the White Factories project. The Governor has presented certificates and prizes to staff from the 24 factories in Prachuapkhirikhan.

During his speech Governor Panchai Borwanratanaspran has thanked all those involved in the White Factories project. He said that the project was very successful and it is great to see that so many workplaces have decided to eradicate drug taking among their employees. These factories give good example to other workplaces and this project should spread further.

Then the Governor spoke about tourism in the Province. He has mentioned that there is parking spaces and road safety problem in Hua Hin. To many road accidents took place in Hua Hin. It should be the priority in the Province to ensure welfare of the tourists and ensure their personal safety.
