Every Friday evening from 7 p.m., the chefs responsible for the superb food served up at the Salathai restaurant put on a fabulous spread of Thai delights in true night market style. The buffet has an excellent selection of piquant Thai salads, night market favourites such as, Isan sausage, sun-dried pork, satay and pad Thai. A fabulous display of fresh seafood allows diners to choose enormous shrimps, squid and clams to be grilled to succulent perfection by the chefs. Tom yam, green curry - all the classics are there. Tables are arranged around the beautifully lit pool where a group of talented musicians and dancers delight diners with a virtuoso display of the traditional Thai art. The idyllic location, music, dance and excellent food make this the perfect place for a romantic dinner for two or to impress guests. A good selection of wines, cocktails and beers are available to compliment the food. Diners are well advised to leave a little room for the some of the many sweet temptations on offer.
