Mr. Suthat Phatthamasiriwat, governor of EGAT, said this project will plant 1 million trees in Hua Hin and other areas of Prachuap Khirikhan. EGAT is responsible for planting of 840,000 trees; rubber, Burma Padauk, Ormosia, Cassia fistula, wild bamboo, Pride of India and other types. In addition EGAT also has arranged drop of million of various types of seed in Kaeng Krachan and Kui Buri National Parks to be source of food for wild animals. When the project is completed, it is expected increase green areas and to reduce carbon dioxide in the atmosphere by around 9,000 tons per year and reduce global warming.
