During Songkran Festival music bands and folk groups will perform at Phone King Petch Park. In the morning of 13 April Buddhist monks have gathered around Hua Hin Clock Tower area and Hua Hin residents have made offering for them. At 1pm the annual Songkran parade will take place. Participants will walk from Hua Hin Municipality to Queen's Park. At Hua Hin Market Village takes place annual foam party for kids. Songkran Festival is the Thai traditional New Year taking place on April 13 of every year. On this day, the younger people will visit their elder relatives with a metal bowl floated with colorful petals, scented candles and “a small branch of pomegranate tree” for sprinkling over elderly persons to express their good wishes. Most of elderly persons will bless them back and give them a handkerchief or fruits in return.
